Course Description

This course is ideal for people wanting to establish a career in the business world. It includes a range of competencies such as managing meetings, planning and managing conferences, planning and implementing administrative systems, managing business document design and development, undertaking project work, leading and managing team effectiveness,  managing your own professional development and work priorities, and facilitating continuous improvement.

What kind of careers and work could I do?

This qualification suits people who want to work in a variety of business roles, including as an administration manager or general office manager. It is suitable for careers where you need a sound theoretical knowledge base and the ability to use a range of specialised, technical or managerial competencies to plan, carry out and evaluate your own work and the work of a team. What are the entry requirements?

There are no entry requirements for this qualification although you will need to have well-developed language, literacy and numeracy skills. This qualification is best suited to people who have already gained a Certificate IV in a business related field, or who have extensive workplace experience but no formal qualification.

How is the course delivered?

This course is run face-to-face with trainers who have real-life business experience.  You can also study flexibly (including online). You will have 12 months to complete the course but may be able to complete it sooner than that.

What units I am required to complete?

You need to complete 8 units for this BSB50415 Diploma Business Administration. There are no core units , packaging rules apply to selection of eight electives. Common electives include:

Classroom Delivery:  $2,400
Blended Delivery / Online: $1,600
One-to-one Training: $3,600

How interactive and practical is the course?

At NTM this course is practical, interactive and with sufficient time to complete all your assessments. The course contains interesting readings and practical assessment tasks which you can complete in the classroom, at home or in your workplace. Assessment activities may include short written assessments, projects and case studies.

After successfully completing BSB50415 Diploma Business Administration you have several pathway options including:

  1. BSB60215  Advanced Diploma of Business
  2. Bachelor of Business Administration
  3. Direct entry into university with credit from a range of universities, for example Bachelor of Business Studies at Charles Sturt University (CSU)
