This qualification suits people who want to work in a variety of business roles, including as an administration manager or general office manager. It is suitable for careers where you need a sound theoretical knowledge base and the ability to use a range of specialised, technical or managerial competencies to plan, carry out and evaluate your own work and the work of a team. The range of potential careers is extensive with the Diploma of Business including:

What are the entry requirements?
There are no entry requirements for this qualification although you will need to have well-developed language, literacy and numeracy skills. This qualification is best suited to people who have already gained a Certificate IV in a business-related field, or who have extensive work-place experience but no formal qualification.

How is the course delivered?
This course is delivered flexibly and may include an initial face-to-face meeting with your trainer, online delivery or self-study options at home – it is designed around what works best for you. You will always have your own trainer available by phone, email or face-to-face if required.
What units I am required to complete?
You need to complete 8 units for this BSB50415 Diploma of Business Administration. There are no core units, packaging rules apply to the selection of eight electives. Common electives include:

How interactive and practical is the course?
At NTM this course is practical, interactive and with sufficient time to complete all your assessments. The course contains interesting readings and practical assessment tasks which you can complete in your own time, at home or in your workplace. Assessment activities may include short written assessments, projects and case studies.
Pathways to further study and university
After successfully completing BSB50415 Diploma of Business Administration you have several pathway options including (NTM does not offer these qualifications):
- BSB60215 Advanced Diploma of Business
- Bachelor of Business Administration
- Direct entry into university with credit from a range of universities, for example, Bachelor of Business Studies at Charles Sturt University (CSU)
